Google is trying to promote Stadia despite several problems that occurred. On the occasion of the pandemic, Stadia Pro subscription, with all the free games in the package, such as GRID, Destiny 2: The Collection, and Thumper,  is available for free, for the first two months. The offer is valid for all new subscribers but also those who have an active subscription will not be charged for April and May.

But the countries where Stadia is available remain at the same level

In the same announcement, Phil Harrison informs us that for the good operation of the platform, the aspirations for 4K are removed and the default resolution will be 1080p. Of course, it does not say whether we will be able to raise the resolution, and whether the specifications set at the start of Stadia apply. Most likely, HDR and Best visual quality will not be automatically activated in the Stadia Pro subscribers, as they were until now and will need to be activated through the settings.

Those who use a Windows computer to connect to Stadia, in addition to connecting with over 35Mbps and 4K Monitor will also need a GPU that supports VP9.

Those who want to know if the GPU they use support VP9 decoding,  can simply open Google Chrome and enter the address chrome://gpu

In the Video Acceleration Information tab, if you see Decode VP9 then you can reach 4K, always provided that it will not affect the game’s response speed.

In any case, you can always use the offer if you are in one of the countries where the service is available, as you can cancel in two months. Those who want to remain Stadia Pro subscribers the price remains at $ 9.99 per month.
